Copal is a form of fossilised, hardened tree resin, similar to Amber, but a much younger variation that has not fully polymerised.

Like Amber, Copal often contains inclusions of sand and grit, air bubbles, insects, plant material, and other small organisms, perfectly preserved and suspended in the resin.

Although normally visible with the naked eye, you may wish to use a magnifying aid to view these inclusions.

A unique and unusual display piece or interesting addition to a fossil collection.
