This Bismuth has been heated until molten and then cooled to naturally allow it to form into its characteristic iridescent cubic crystals. These "stair step" crystals with their natural iridescent metallic yellow, blue, magenta, purple and green colours are due to the natural tarnishing of the specimens in air.
